NFL Power Rankings Week 4: Which Teams Are Worst in AFC?

Ryan PhillipsJun 7, 2018

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Indianapolis Colts are struggling. Both teams have 0-3 records as we approach the fourth week of the 2011 NFL season, and neither squad looks like it will improve any time soon.

The Colts have looked completely lost this season with star quarterback Peyton Manning sidelined with a neck injury. With a combination of Kerry Collins and Curtis Painter under center, Indianapolis has been one of the worst offensive teams in football.

A team that has always won with offense, the Colts currently rank 29th in the NFL, averaging just 254 yards per game. They also are 27th in passing yards (164 per game), and 21st in rushing yards (90 per game).

So far this season the Colts have shown themselves to be one of the worst teams in the NFL. Through three games Indianapolis has been outscored 84-46, and it doesn't look like things will get better any time soon.

The Kansas City Chiefs lost a close game with the San Diego Chargers 20-17 in Week 3. That might be the closest the Chiefs get to a win for a while. Kansas City has lost safety Eric Berry, running back Jamaal Charles and tight end Tony Moeaki for the season, and those holes may be too big to fill.

The Chiefs currently rank 30th in the NFL in total offense, averaging just 244 yards per game. Quarterback Matt Cassel leads a passing attack that has put up just 130.7 yards per game, which is 31st in the league. Cassel is also 31st in the league with a 65.5 quarterback rating.

So far this season the Chiefs have been outscored by a ridiculous margin of 109-27.

Right now there is no doubt the Chiefs and the Colts are the worst teams in the AFC, and they may be the two worst squads in the NFL.
