Fantasy Football Week 4: 5 Draft Picks We Already Regret
It's easy to look back on your fantasy football draft and say, "What was I thinking when I picked that guy?"
It happens every year. There will always be one or two players—if it's more than that, you might want to reconsider how you draft—who disappoint everyone.
We're only in Week 4 of the 2011 season, and there have already been a few that fantasy owners regret selecting. Whether it's due to injuries or just not living up to expectations, we all wish we could go back and avoid these players.
Lee Evans
1 of 5After finding a new team in the offseason, Lee Evans looked like he could have a promising year in 2011.
He's always been talked about as a guy who could be great if he had a decent quarterback to throw to him. Ryan Fitzpatrick just didn't seem to look his way that often in Buffalo, so his value rose when he was traded to Baltimore.
What a complete misfire. Evans was owned by the majority of leagues at one point but has now fallen to 59 percent ownership in ESPN leagues, and that number is still in free fall. He didn't have any catches in Week 1 after being targeted four times and had just two receptions for 45 yards in Week 2.
Evans was unable to go last week due to a nagging ankle injury. He can't stay healthy, and when he has played, it's been nothing special. If only we had known to stay away before the draft.
James Jones
2 of 5The Green Bay Packers have so many options for Aaron Rodgers to throw to. Unfortunately for some owners, James Jones is tied for the fifth-most targets on the team...with nine.
Jones has voiced his frustration already in 2011, and it might have helped a little. He was targeted six times this past weekend against Chicago. Still, he has just six receptions in three games.
He's another one whose stock has plummeted.
Zach Miller
3 of 5I feel bad for Zach Miller. He left Oakland to sign with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason. Oakland now looks like it might win the AFC West, while Seattle...well, you get the picture—the Seahawks are bad.
With Tarvaris Jackson at quarterback, no one is having a good time on that team. Miller has just five catches for 41 yards and zero touchdowns. He was drafted by most leagues, but now he's just like the previous two players in this slideshow.
Ryan Torain
4 of 5Ryan Torain's 15 minutes of fame literally lasted about that long. He was drafted by a good portion of owners, and he's still owned by 60.7 percent? I say that questioningly because I honestly can't believe that's true.
Guess how many yards Torain has this year? The same number that I have. I am as viable as Torain is in fantasy right now.
He has yet to receive one carry. Health has always been a concern with him, but he's healthy right now, and he's not getting anywhere near the field. I'm very sorry if you drafted him; feel free to cut all ties right away.
Chad Ochocinco
5 of 5Chad Ochocinco fans were excited to see him go to the New England Patriots in the offseason. With Tom Brady at quarterback, there's no way he'll do poorly, right?
Sorry to say the Brady-Ocho combo hasn't been quite as potent as fans anticipated. Ochocinco has five receptions for 87 yards in three games this season.
He dropped a pass last weekend that easily would have been a touchdown. That doesn't bode well for his future, as Brady has plenty of other options that he trusts.
The receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson is still owned by 90.7 percent of leagues. I suppose everyone is still holding out in the hope that something will happen soon.
