Wardrobe malfunctions in hockey are often scary times for players, but they make the action more exciting for fans.

Goalies losing their masks, players losing their sticks and jerseys being pulled over one's head in a fight all cause concern for players.

Let's look at the worst wardrobe malfunctions in the NHL.

Dan Cloutier Has 2 Sticks

Dan Cloutier picks up teammate Brad Stuart's loose stick and uses it! Why wouldn't he, why use one stick one you can have two?

The best part is when Stuart goes to get it back and Cloutier doesn't give it to him.

Alex Edler Breaks Stick at Worst Time

Alex Edler broke his stick just after the opening faceoff in the second period of Game 3 of the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals.

After breaking his stick, the Bruins scored. Edler was completely defenseless in front of Luongo as Ference's shot came in from the blue line.

After scoring against the Montreal Canadiens during the first round of the 2011 NHL Playoffs, Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference made an obscene gesture to the Habs crowd.

His excuse was more hilarious.

“Honestly, I have no idea [how it happened],” he said. “It looks really bad. All I can do is tell you the truth, and [my finger getting stuck in my glove is] the truth."
