Fantasy Football Week 4 Rankings: Ahmad Bradshaw and 4 RBs Ready to Explode

T.J. McaloonJun 6, 2018

So you’re stuck with three running backs that all have favorable matchups heading into Week 4; what do you do? Should you put a third running back into that flex position over another wide receiver or tight end?

Well, don’t worry, that’s why you’re reading this piece right now. You want answers and you want to know who is going to do what this Sunday and Monday.

Here are five running backs with very favorable games this week. If you happen to have three of the five running backs on this list, well, consider yourself very lucky.

1. LeGarrette Blount, Tampa Bay Buccaneer

Blount has had an average year so far. He was terrible in Week 1 against Detroit, while being okay in Weeks 2 and 3. LeGarrette is getting the touches this year, as his workload has increased every single week. His total yards are increasing as he’s gone from 15 yards in Week 1 to 71 in Week 2 to a season-high 81 last week.

This week, LeGarrette plays the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night. The Colts did shut down the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, only allowing 67 rushing yards in all. However, they still rank 22nd overall in rush defense this year.

Expect 25-plus carries and 100-plus yards with two to three touchdowns for Blount this week.

2. Ahmad Bradshaw, New York Giants

Ahmad is the starting running back for the Giants, but he does share a lot of carries with Brandon Jacobs. However, this has not affected Bradshaw’s productivity this year; as he has scored twice in three games.

Their opponents, the Arizona Cardinals, are ranked 27th in rushing yards allowed, having let teams rush for 122.7 yards per game.

Expect another 15-carry game for Bradshaw, with another five to seven catches out of the backfield. He’ll get into the end zone again at least once—maybe twice.

3. Matt Forte, Chicago Bears

This may be Forte’s last week as just a running back listed on your fantasy football page. I say this because he’s getting closer to having more receptions than rushing attempts.

I kid—but, on the year, he’s rushed 35 times to his 22 receptions.

This week, the Bears host the Carolina Panthers. On the year, the Panthers rank 25th in rushing yards allowed, having allowing 117 yards per game.

Forte will get around 10-15 carries this week, with another 10 receptions against the Panthers. He’ll total around 125-150 yards of offense with two touchdowns.

4. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings

It’s Adrian Peterson—there’s zero reason why you should not be starting him in your fantasy league.

This week, Peterson is playing an 0-3 Kansas City Chiefs team that ranks 28th in the league, allowing 123 yards on the ground per game.

You don’t need me to explain why Peterson may rush for 200 yards this week, especially after the Vikings have blown three leads to start the season 0-3 this year.

5. Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans

He has to break out of this early season slump, right? This week, Johnson goes against a Cleveland Browns defense that are fresh off allowing a rookie to rush for 95 yards last week.

On the season, the Browns rank 29th in rushing defense, allowing an average of 129 yards to opposing offenses.

Don’t worry, Chris Johnson owners. He will break out this week and will recapture his fantasy football glory that made you draft him in the first round.
