Fantasy Football Week 4: Why Marques Colston's Return Threatens Devery Henderson
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston has been out since suffering a broken collarbone in the Saints' Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Once expected to miss up to six weeks with the injury, Colston is back at practice. Head coach Sean Payton says his top receiver will play this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Colston's remarkably rapid recovery is bad news for fantasy owners who invested in Devery Henderson. The LSU product had been seeing a lot of playing time with Colston out, and in Week 2 he took advantage, catching three passes for 103 yards and a touchdown.

But this past Sunday against the Houston Texans, Henderson caught just three passes for 62 yards (44 yards came on one play) and no scores.
Henderson has always suffered from a lack of consistency and that has hurt him as a fantasy player. With Colston back and playing, Henderson is no better than a weak third wideout option this week against the Jaguars.
The Saints currently have the NFL's second-best passing attack, averaging 338 yards per game through the first three weeks.
Theoretically, that means there should be plenty of opportunities for multiple receivers to cash in. But with Lance Moore and Colston both back in the lineup and Robert Meachem playing as well as ever, Henderson could be the guy left out in the cold.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees does like to spread the ball around, but don't expect Henderson to be racking up catches and yardage the rest of the season. If the Saints' receiving corps remains healthy, he will likely be the fourth guy in the rotation.
