Nebraska-Colorado: Quick Hits
1) The Nebraska-Colorado game is always weird. Strange plays, strange scores, and often, strange outcomes usually happen; this year is no exception.
2) Roy Helu Jr. reminds me of Philadelphia Eagles RB Brian Westbrook. Every time he touches the ball, he’s a threat to go eight or more yards. He has a similar running style and shows versatility similiar to Westbrook. However, like Westbrook, he might be prone to injury from time-to-time.
3) Joe Ganz is a good, solid QB. But, he does have a ceiling?
4) Did Alex Henery get Shawn Watson off the hook? The Huskers only had two TD’s in their five possessions inside the 20. The play call that resulted in a 15-yard Joe Ganz sack would of been questioned had Henery’s kick failed.
5) It’s good to see some positive energy from the Huskers!
6) The fake field-goal will go down as one of the biggest Husker special team blunders ever.
7) Ndmukong Suh is not only All-Big 12, but he should be considered for All-American.
8) What a turnaround for the defense. After letting early TD’s, the defense was responsible for only 10 more points the whole game.
9) Now you can’t deny it: Nebraska is on the rise.
10) Gator Bowl on New Year’s Day: Let it soak in.
