Fantasy Football Week 4 Rankings: Arian Foster and 4 Riskiest RB Plays

John RozumJun 7, 2018

It's always a tough decision, but having to sit a stud RB because your gut tells you to is not always a bad idea.

For one, with the NFL offenses becoming more reliant on throwing the football, you're not getting hit as badly if you start the wrong RB as opposed to the wrong QB.

In any event, it's still a tough call.

That said, here are the four riskiest starting RBs in Week 4 of fantasy football.

Click the link for a list of the five riskiest starting QBs for Week 4.

Chris Johnson

1 of 4

He has yet to gain over 100 yards on the season, let alone one game in 2011.

And for those of you that did not draft Chris Johnson, his lack of productivity is no surprise. This is what happens when you hold out and miss camp.

In addition, the Titans' passing game took a big hit with WR Kenny Britt being out.

Therefore, Johnson will be watching defenses bring that eighth defender into the box to shut him down even more.

Expect the Cleveland Browns to do that this week and don't be surprised when Johnson barely reaches 50 yards.

Arian Foster

2 of 4

He's only played in one game (Miami), and he carried the rock 10 times for 33 yards (zero TDs).

Adding to that, even if Arian Foster plays this week, he's not going to be 100 percent, and the Texans play the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Although The Steel Curtain was not their usual self last week in terms of rush defense, you can bet head coach Mike Tomlin and defensive coordinator Dick LeBeau are going to improve that.

Houston will win the game, but Arian Foster won't be contributing too much.

Michael Turner

3 of 4

Prior to Week 3 Falcons' RB Michael Turner was averaging 7.7 yards per carry and had gained at least 100 yards in his first two contests.

On the road in Tampa Bay however, Turner was completely isolated and limited to just 20 yards on 11 carries.

This week Atlanta goes back on the road and plays the Seattle Seahawks, who have an underrated defense, despite their lack of offense.

If the Falcons have any success it will be through the air, and Turner's ground game will only pick up later on in the game.

He's not the worst start of this list, just don't get your hopes up of him having an above average game.

Joseph Addai

4 of 4

In Week 3 the Indianapolis Colts got a solid performance from RB Joseph Addai on the ground against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He gained 86 yards on 17 carries and scored one TD.

The only concerning factor is that his one TD came on a somewhat lucky play, as Steelers' safety Troy Polamalu just missed causing a fumble as Addai was receiving the handoff.

This week Indy travels to Tampa, FL to play the Buccaneers, who just held Falcons' RB Michael Turner to 20 yards on 11 carries.

There's a good chance that Addai gains more than 20 yards on the ground, but it's not going to be more than 60 as Tampa Bay really stands their ground when backed up in the redzone.
