NFL Power Rankings Week 4: Philadelphia Eagles and the 4 Best 1-2 Teams
Let's face it. A 1-2 record three games into the season is nothing to brag about.
Well, unless you're the Seattle Seahawks, I guess. They're that bad.
Either way, a lot of us expected a team like the Seahawks to be 1-2 at this juncture. The same cannot be said of some of the other 1-2 teams in the league, who we thought would be much better.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
For these teams, a 1-2 record out of the gate shouldn't be, and probably won't be, a death sentence. In particular, there are four 1-2 teams out there that I think are much better than they've shown.
4. Arizona Cardinals (No. 23)
As soon as they made the trade for Kevin Kolb, I automatically pegged the Cardinals as the best team in the NFC West. That's not saying much, mind you, but they did look like the kind of team that had the goods to be the class of the division.
Instead, the Cardinals have been a disappointment. They won at home in Week 1, but have dropped back-to-back road games at Washington and Seattle to fall to 1-2.
But truth be told, I'm not too worried about the Cardinals. If they can win the majority of their home games and then steal a game or two on the road, they'll finish right around the 8-8 mark, which will be good enough to win the division.
Don't get me wrong, the Cardinals have plenty of issues. I just think they have fewer issues than the rest of their NFC West comrades.
3. Chicago Bears (No. 18)
Right off the bat, I should make it clear that I don't think the Bears are going to keep up with the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers in the chase for the NFC North.
Nevertheless, they should at least be able to make it interesting. The Bears are not great on either side of the ball, but they're solid enough to match up with most teams in the league.
It just so happens the Bears weren't solid enough to match up against the Saints and Packers, who were both able to beat the Bears. There's no shame in losing to teams like those, and the Bears should be able to right the ship this weekend against the Carolina Panthers.
After that, it's going to be a season of ups and downs. If I had to guess, mainly ups.
2. Atlanta Falcons (No. 15)
I've said it before, and I'll say it again:
The Falcons are letting me down, man.
What can I say? I figured the Falcons were a lock for at least 10 wins this year, and so far, they look like a team that is clearly guilty of overachieving in 2010. They have talent, but right now, I'm wondering if they have guts.
This may very well be so, but I still have faith in Atlanta's talent. They simply have too much of it to stay down for long, and I fully expect them to give the Saints a run for the NFC South before all is said and done.
If not, it's going to be interesting to see if there's any shakeup in Atlanta after the year is over.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (No. 12)
It really is amazing how much the Eagles resemble the Miami Heat. First came the big offseason spending spree, and now they're in the midst of some early-season struggles.
But just like the Heat were able to do, the Eagles should be able to turn it around. I have my concerns about their defense, and I have my concerns about Michael Vick, but I still think the Eagles are the class of the NFC East.
Expect the Eagles to get back on track this weekend against the San Francisco 49ers. If the Eagles fall apart again immediately thereafter, that's when I'll be ready to bury them.
