NFL Power Rankings Week 4: 2 Teams Ready to Make a Quantum Leap

Eric BallSep 28, 2011

The Week 4 slate is probably the worst of the year.

There isn’t one divisional game on the schedule and a lot of one-sided affairs look to be on the horizon.

Here are two teams that will take the momentum of Week 4, and use it for the rest of the season:

No. 16 Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are still trying to erase the memories of their epic beatdown in Week 1, and can do so with a win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Their patchwork O-line is a concern, but they still have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball.

QB Ben Roethlisberger is really spreading the field with WR Mike Wallace and is a threat to throw for 300 yards every week. The defense is still filled with play-makers all over the field that are capable of making game-changing plays—like the fumble return for a touchdown on Sunday.

But let’s be honest, after getting completely embarrassed against their divisional rival the Baltimore Ravens…beating the lowly Seahawks and Colts is not going to vault you back to the top.

No. 19 Tennessee Titans

The Titans are a surprisingly decent team after jumping out to a 2-1 start. It really stings that WR Kenny Britt is lost for the season and replacing his outstanding production is not going to be easy.

Assuming WR Nate Washington and a handful of young guys can fill the void, this team is going to be tough to beat.

They have given up the second fewest points in the league, and can really shut down the oppositions passing game.

RB Chris Johnson is going to breakout sooner or later, and that will make everything else easier on the offense.

With the Cleveland Browns on deck followed by five more games against the pitiful AFC South…the Titans are going to be in the top 10 at some point this season.
