NFL Predictions Week 4: Darren McFadden and 2 Biggest Point Producers

Richard LangfordSep 28, 2011

If you have any of the next three players on your team, feel free to start talking some serious trash now because these guys are going to light up the scoreboard.

All three are elite players, and they all have favorable matchups.

Oakland Raiders RB Darren McFadden

If Darren McFadden had any doubters, he shut them right up by torching the Jets for more yards than any running back has ever gained against the Jets while Rex Ryan was at the helm.

He is going to come close to reaching those numbers again this week.

The Patriots defense has been fairly solid against the run—but then again, that is in large part due to the fact that teams are choosing to shred their horrible pass defense.

McFadden is going to get his carries in this one, and he will add a few big plays receiving as well.

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady

That's right. Two of the three biggest fantasy-point producers are going to come from the same game. This one is going to be a shootout.

Brady is putting up mind-boggling numbers this season, and that trend is going to continue.

The Raiders defense is horrid against quick passing attacks like the Patriots'.

They have little corner depth, and their linebackers are not good in coverage. Their pass defense relies on their pass rush getting to the QB, but Brady gets rid of the ball quickly enough to make that a tough task.

He is going to carve this defense up.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson

Adrian Peterson is not putting up Peterson-like numbers yet this season. He is not getting as many touches as you'd expect. He has just 58 carries through three games.

If Leslie Frazier has any interest in retaining his job, that trend will change this week. Peterson is going against the weak Kansas City Chiefs rush defense.

The Chiefs are 28th in rushing yards allowed, and they are going to be even lower after this one.
