Before the season, would anyone have guessed that the Week 4 game between the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles would be a must-win?

Well, you probably did think that, but you probably guessed that the 49ers would be the team in a must win situation.

That's not really the case in this one. The 49ers sit atop the NFC West at 2-1, while the Eagles are 1-2 and in last place in the NFC East.

Footballlocks.com lists this game at 41.5. Picking this really depends on who you think will win. If you think the Eagles will win, then 41.5 won't be a problem.

If you think the 49ers will win, the winning team won't score more than about 20. Then, the under is a good bet.

I'll go with the over here. If the 49ers win, I like a score around 24-20. That would be over, although only barely.

Philadelphia enters the week as 7.5 point favorites. If you think they'll win, then it's hard to see them not winning by more than that. I think it will be relatively close.

Eagles' S Nate Allen (knee) is probable.

Eagles' QB Michael Vick (hand), DE Darryl Tapp (chest), and WR Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) are all questionable.

Fantasy Big Plays

49ers' TE Vernon Davis had a big game against Cincinnati. When the 49ers threw the ball his way, their offense got progressively better.

With Frank Gore banged up, 49ers' RB Kendall Hunter shined. He's a solid pickup.

The Philadelphia defense is a good play here. The 49ers won't score too many points, even if they win.

Keys to 49ers' Win

Get the ball to Vernon Davis.

The 49ers' pass defense will be tested against the Eagles' receivers. They won't shut them down, but Philadelphia can't make too many big plays.

Keys to Eagles' Win

If the Eagles don't turn the ball over, they will be fine. The key for them is to protect Michael Vick. The 49ers' offense isn't good enough to exploit the holes that are showing in the Philadelphia defense.

Prediction

I don't think this will be too bad, but I like the Eagles to win this one. They have too much offense for the 49ers.

The 49ers will be game, but are far out manned.
