Bayern vs. Manchester City: Hostile Carlos Tevez Situation Boils Over in Loss

Manchester City's strained relationship with Carlos Tevez boiled over during their Champions League match against Bayern Munich, when Tevez refused to enter the match as a sub.

Tevez wouldn't warm up when he was informed that he would be utilized as a second-half sub and chaos ensued when he refused to enter the match when called upon.

Robert Mancini has told Tevez that his days of playing for Manchester City are over, according to Mirror Football.

This demonstration of pouting couldn't have come at a worse time. Right in the midst of Champions League taking on an experienced team like Bayern Munich, Manchester City couldn't afford a debacle like this one ensuing.

Mancini's comments aren't surprising. With the team at odds with Tevez, it's hard to imagine this situation ever working itself out.

Manchester City is one of the most talented teams in the entire English Premier League. It has high hopes this season and while losing Tevez will be problematic for their attack, all is not lost for Manchester City.

Mancini shed some light on the situation and brings up a great point about the no-nonsense approach other clubs would take to such a matter.

He just refused to go on. I don't know why. I cannot be happy with this situation. Would something like this happen at Bayern Munich, AC Milan or Manchester United? I am the manager. I decide everything.

"

This puts Manchester City in somewhat of a bind, but it also sends a message to the team.

No matter who a player is or how great he's been, anyone who decides they're too good for the role bestowed upon them or who checks out when their team needs them, is done.

Tevez isn't going to be blacklisted by any means. He's a talented player and a team is going to be more than happy to acquire his services.

Even so, this was the only move for Manchester City.
