NFL Power Rankings: St. Louis Rams and Hopeless NFL Teams Continuing To Sink

Gabe ZaldivarJun 7, 2018

It seems like the St. Louis Rams are forever mired in horrible play and inefficiency. If you blink, you may miss one of their more productive games. The 2011 season seems like another year in the dumps. At least they will have company.

There are a couple other teams that are taking on water, sinking to the bottom of the power rankings. With no hope in sight, the end of the season is a luxury that would be savored at the moment.

For those fans suffering through humbling times, I am one of you. I have been a tired and frustrated Rams supporter for far too long. Here is where my lovable losers sit now.

There was so much hope and optimism that followed the Rams into the 2011 season. Supporters were convinced the team went out and spent responsibly to build a core group that could win the division, and they did.

The Rams are a solid group front to back. They just have too many young guys that are messing it all up due to veteran injuries. It is time to back up the tent and come back next year.

If there was any hope for a turnaround, it was squashed by the shellacking the Baltimore Ravens gave them on Sunday. The bye week couldn't get here any quicker.

There is a rare ray of light that is still shining after the Colts took on the Steelers. The Colts actually showed a modicum of life as they gave their all, but eventually lost to Pittsburgh.

I applaud Dwight Freeney and the Colts, but have to admit that they are the front-runners in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes.

Did you see how determined and poised the Chiefs looked in 2010? Well I hope you savored every last drop, because this team is destined for the lowest of depths in 2011.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse on offense, they lost Jamaal Charles. Wins will be few and far between for the team that won the division just last year.
