NFL Picks Week 4: Which Teams Are Guaranteed to Win?

John RozumJun 7, 2018

Any time your favorite team is playing a game they're guaranteed to win, it's rather difficult to withhold your excitement. The sooner that win gets added to the record, the more confident you feel as the season progresses.

New challenges are always fun, regardless of whether they're challenging or simple.

To that end, here are two teams guaranteed to put up another W on the left side of the record column.

Green Bay Packers (vs Denver Broncos)

Although we thought the Indianapolis Colts were going to get completely annihilated by the Pittsburgh Steelers, the only difference there was that Indy had some talent to exploit The Steel Curtain's flaws.

Denver, however, does not have that luxury against the mighty Green Bay Packers.

The Broncos have an improved defense both in rushing and passing, but the offense has lacked an established ground game since the days of Mike Shanahan.

Although the passing game has been very effective since 2009, you can only be effective playing one-dimensional football for so long.

Yes, the Broncos will have some success since Green Bay is most vulnerable in pass defense, but not having the ability to consistently run the football will show as the game progresses.

The Broncos might keep it close through 2.5 quarters, but thereafter Green Bay will pull away as they are far too dynamic to contend with.

The cheese-heads can use the pass to set up the run, or vice-versa; most teams cannot.

It's only going to make the Denver defense more susceptible later on. That's where Aaron Rodgers will take over.

Packers win handily by pulling away late.

San Diego Chargers (vs Miami Dolphins)

The Miami Dolphins have arguably played the most difficult schedule thus far, having faced three teams who are all now 2-1 and now the San Diego Chargers (2-1).

Not to mention the game is in Southern California. After losing a heartbreaker to the Cleveland Browns on the road, Miami isn't feeling too confident.

In addition, Cleveland was without their best player, RB Peyton Hillis, yet the Browns still managed to pull off the W.

To make matters worse, the Chargers have had—for a while now—one of the NFL's most effective offenses with QB Philip Rivers under center.

They have a solid defense and with QB Chad Henne struggling once again, the Dolphins offense is disappointing.

Early on, Miami is able to keep pace with the Chargers, but San Diego is a much better second half team. The Bolts pull away toward the end of the third quarter and never look back.

Plus, getting pressure on Henne is something the Browns were able to do, so you can expect more of the same from San Diego all game long.

Bolts win, while Miami has yet to win.

San Diego 37, Miami 21
