WWE Hell in a Cell 2011: Preview of All the Matches

Daniel DulaneyJun 2, 2018

It was just two weeks ago that we were talking about Night of Champions, and here we are already at the next WWE Pay-Per-View.

The thing that makes this strange to me is that Hell in a Cell is supposed to be one of the toughest matches imaginable, meant for only the cruelest of feuds. Yet, none of these feuds have been pushed to their limits yet with the exception of the Divas Championship, in which this will be the third PPV with these same two ladies battling it out. Nevertheless, there still must be winners and losers so let me tell you who to bet on.

Beth Phoenix v. Kelly Kelly (c) for the Divas Championship

Most people look at this match and say there is no way that Kelly Kelly can beat the Glamazon three PPV's in a row cleanly. In reality I would agree with you, but in the WWE Universe there is no reason to put the belt of Beth right now. If they were going to put the belt on Phoenix, they would have done it at NOC in her hometown. The WWE gains nothing by taking the belt away from the very popular Kelly Kelly.

Winner: Sable 2.0 retains!

Sheamus v. Christian

I don't know about you, but during RAW last night I went from groaning about Christian's "one more match" to totally understanding that phrase is his new gimmick. At least it is original—which not many WWE Superstars can currently claim. Captain Charisma has done it again and came up with a reason for the fans to hate him. Meanwhile, Sheamus is growing in popularity so I think this will be a no-brainer. By the way, if Christian wins, how can he ask for "one more match?"

Winner: The Irish Ginger

Orton v. Henry (c) for World Heavyweight Championship

This one should be fairly good with several dangerous spots. Based on Orton's feud with Cody Rhodes, it seems that this rematch has already lost some of its luster. Based on Orton's new feud, I think that Henry's strength will eventually win the match for him. I believe that he will also be aided by some outside interference by Rhodes.

Winner: The Silverback retains!

Punk v. Del Rio v. Cena (c) for WWE Championship

This one is the most puzzling to me. First of all, I definitely do not think that Punk wins because there is no reason for him to win it right now. I can see Cena winning it because I don't see his 10th title reign only lasting two weeks, but I can also see Del Rio winning it because it will make sense for the WWE to enter in a two week tour of Mexico with a Mexican champion. This is also the match that should help move along the main storyline heading into Survivor Series. There is alot of time between HiaC and Survivor Series, so there could be a lot of angle development during this time. Who will be a key player? Nash, Laurenitis, Awesome Truth, HHH, and The Rock are all possibilities. I'm not sure but I think the WWE can't leave that much money on the table, at least for the next few weeks.

Winner: New Champion The King of Cars
