NFL Week 3 Winners and Losers: Breaking Down My Picks
Well, I didn't do too terribly bad picking games this week. There were a couple of huge upsets that I didn't see coming. Take a look at how I did.
New England 34, Buffalo 21: WRONG. I said the Bills couldn't keep up with Brady and company. The Bills won 34-31.
Cincinnati 21, San Francisco 20: WRONG...San Francisco won 13-8. I said Alex Smith wasn't very good, though. At least I was right about that.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Detroit 27, Minnesota 6: RIGHT. It was close though. Detroit won 23-20 in OT.
Tennessee 24, Denver 14: RIGHT. Tennessee won 17-14. I was off by a touchdown.
Philly 30, New York 17: WRONG. Who saw this one coming? Seriously? Give me a break here. Vick was knocked out of the game, and the G-Men won 29-16. New York looked good.
Houston 35, New Orleans 34: WRONG. I said it would be the game of the week. The Saints won 40-33. I knew it would be high-scoring, but I thought Wade Phillips' D was going to at least show up.
Jacksonville 17, Carolina 14: WRONG. The Panthers won 16-10. The game was played in a monsoon, and that hurt both teams' offenses.
Oakland 27, Jets 24: RIGHT. This was my upset pick of the week. The Raiders won 34-24. I almost got the score right. I just didn't see the Raiders putting up that many points on a Rex Ryan-coached team.
Baltimore 24, St. Louis 17: RIGHT. The Ravens killed the Rams 37-7. The Rams didn't even show up in the first half. Just embarrassing.
Green Bay 35, Chicago 21: RIGHT. The Pack won 27-17. It was a bit lower scoring than I had expected, which might mean defenses are catching up to the offenses by this point in the season.
San Diego 31, Kansas City 10: RIGHT. This was a lot closer than I had thought. The Chargers won 20-17. Andrew Luck is going to look great in a Chiefs' uniform.
Arizona 24, Seattle 13: WRONG. I can't believe that Seattle beat Arizona 13-10. I think the teams in the SEC West are better than the teams in the NFC West.
Pittsburgh 30, Indy 13: RIGHT. This was also a close game. I just don't think Pittsburgh is that good right now. They beat the Colts 23-20 on a last-second field goal.
Atlanta 27, Tampa Bay 24: WRONG. Tampa Bay won 16-13. Atlanta doesn't look very good right now. Anybody still think they are going to the Super Bowl?
Dallas 24, Washington 20: RIGHT. I said the Redskins would compete hard before losing on the road. They lost 18-16 after Rex Grossman fumbled with under 30 seconds to play. It was a competitive game by two teams that aren't very good right now.
WEEK 3 TOTAL: 8-7
SEASON TOTAL: 8-7
