Darren McFadden Injury: Updates on Raider Star's Week 4 Status and Fantasy Value
After carving up the New York Jets defense for 171 yards and two touchdowns through three quarters on Sunday, Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden had to leave the game with an apparent groin injury.
The Raiders held on to win 34-24, but McFadden's status was uncertain following the game.
While McFadden's injury doesn't appear to be exceedingly serious, his availability Sunday's game against the New England Patriots is still in question.

UPDATE: Sunday, Oct. 2 at 5:45 p.m. EDT
The Raiders have gone into the half trailing the Patriots 17-10, but McFadden had himself a very good half. He rushed for 57 yards on eight carries, and also had a pair of catches for 20 yards.
Much of McFadden's rushing yards were racked up on a 41-yard run, which is a pretty good indication that his injured groin is just fine. If he keeps it up in the second half, the Raiders and fantasy owners can expect another big game out of McFadden.
The only trouble for fantasy owners is that McFadden is still not getting goal-line carries. The Raiders continue to use Michael Bush in such situations.

Just in case you had any lingering doubts, just know that Darren McFadden is not listed among the Raiders' inactives for today's contest against the New England Patriots.
This from the Raiders' official Twitter feed:
This obviously doesn't tell us whether or not McFadden is truly 100 percent healthy, but he will at least be out there and running around. That's bad news for the Patriots, and good news for the Raiders.
It's also good news for McFadden fantasy owners, who have been spoiled in the early goings this season.

The Oakland Raiders are looking to shock the New England Patriots this week with a huge upset victory, but a groin injury may have the Raiders offensive juggernaut Darren McFadden running at less than 100 percent.
Sports betting specialist Todd Fuhrman shared some potentially revealing news about the betting line in the Patriots-Raiders matchup:
There is no way that Darren McFadden should be out of your lineup this week against a terrible Patriots defense, but as an owner of McFadden you need to keep an eye on this situation.

Despite the fact that McFadden was removed from the game with what has been reported as a groin injury, McFadden maintains that he wasn't injured at all, according to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald.

Following the game, Raiders coach Hue Jackson was asked about McFadden's status, and while he didn't offer any particulars, he didn't seem at all worried with regard to McFadden missing any time, according to Steve Corkran of Inside the Oakland Raiders.
"“You had to mention that name,” Jackson said, knowing it was coming at some point. “No, I think he’ll be fine. I really do. It tightened up on him more so than anything. I’m going to be very cautious with him to make sure he’s OK, but he’ll be fine.”
