Fantasy Football Week 4 Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Julio Jones Will Continue Rising

Ryan RudnanskySep 27, 2011

Atlanta Falcons rookie receiver Julio Jones has been making waves since training camp, but the numbers have only started showing up recently.

Jones, the No. 6 overall pick and second receiver selected in the 2011 NFL Draft, is the No. 2 receiver opposite star Roddy White, a position that figures to present him with plenty of one-on-one matchups downfield.

Here is your Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for the week.

Start 'Em:
Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons

Jones is already playing like an experienced receiver. He caught five balls for 72 yards in Week 1, but his numbers dropped in Week 2, although that had little to do with his play.

In Week 3 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jones put up his first big stat line of the season, catching six balls for 115 yards.

Jones faces the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4. The Seahawks have improved their pass defense since last season, but they still aren't a stalwart by any means. Jones should have plenty of opportunities to scald them and reward his fantasy owners in the process.

Jones is only going to get better, and he should continue his rise in Week 4.

Sit 'Em:
Brandon Marshall, WR, Miami Dolphins

Dolphins star receiver Brandon Marshall is coming off a groin injury and his receptions and yardage numbers have declined with every passing game this season.

He's still going to give owners some big numbers this season under the revamped passing game of the Dolphins (I can't believe I'm saying that), but I don't see him doing much against the Chargers in San Diego. The Chargers have consistently been near the top of the league in passing defense throughout the years, and that hasn't changed this season.

In eight career games against the Chargers, Marshall has averaged 61.9 receiving yards and caught only one touchdown. Last game against the Chargers, he caught just three balls for 26 yards.
