WWE: The Wrestling Opus (RAW 7-Point Review for 9/26/11)
My lucky 7 point review following tonight's RAW:
1. The opening segment was very well done. Awesome Truth's behind the scenes footage at Night of Champions was awesomely (pun INTENDED, hehe) done. Nice promo there. Dolph was bearable on the mic for the first time in a long time. He did a pretty good job in his interactions with HHH. Cody was great. His vooooiiice was moooore over the toooop than ever. I love when he talks like that. A 10 man battle royal for the intercontinental belt? It degrades the belt, but who doesn't love a battle royal. Christian was very good as well. I like his "One more match" thing. It's annoying, but it keeps him in the upper card. It works.

2. Whose cereal did Drew McIntyre piss in? He gets attacked by everyone then thrown out immediately. Down with the haters! I'm still a fan!
3. Del Rio can pull off a decent enough scripted promo, but when he is speaking off the cuff its not good at all. It might be the second language thing, or maybe he just isn't that good on mic.
4. Ryder started off his TV run getting no pop at all, as he only had the small internet niche. But he has worked hard and is getting some fan reaction now. I'm glad. He has grown on me, he's a different character with a different look, and I like that.
5. I'll admit to getting excited when Mason Ryan came out. I liked him when he was getting that initial push, but then he got injured. He turns on Swiggler, dominates them, and thus turns face. He also looked more juiced than usual, absolutely enormous. Zach Ryder got another nice push due to that as well. I was really into the match and outcome, I admit.
6. Wow, Otunga finally has a gimmick. One that works. Is Cody-Ziggler-Christian-Otunga a new stable? Or just a team for survivor series? I wouldn't mind seeing them form an anti-HHH stable as long as it was written well.
7. Punk v. Del Rio started off slowly, but turned into a very good match. I was surprised ADR lost cleanly, but he made up for it and then some by attacking Punk and Cena with the chair. Excellent ending. I'm thinking ADR wins the belt back at Hell in a Cell.
