Fantasy Football Week 4 Projections: Arian Foster and 2 Stars with Bad Matchups

Ryan RudnanskyJun 7, 2018

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster hasn't exactly had a ball in 2011, currently suffering from a hamstring injury and making fantasy football owners nationwide angry.

In Week 4, even if he starts after sitting out Week 3, he's going to come face-to-face with misery once again.

Here are three stars with bad matchups in Week 4.

3. Fred Jackson, RB, Buffalo Bills

I wouldn't exactly suggest sitting Fred Jackson after the start he's had this season, but he is matched up against the Cincinnati Bengals, who, believe it or not, have only allowed a league-best 2.9 yards per carry. This is despite facing such running backs as Frank Gore and Peyton Hillis. On top of this, Jackson will be playing in Cincinnati, which should only make things more difficult. The Bengals have proved they are a much-improved rush defense than last season.

2. Joe Flacco, QB, Baltimore Ravens

Joe Flacco is coming off his best game of the season, passing for 389 yards and three touchdowns against the St. Louis Rams.

But the New York Jets aren't the Rams. Through three games, the Jets have allowed only 188 passing yards per game. They're tied for first in passing touchdowns allowed (two) and tied for second in interceptions. The last time Flacco faced the Jets, he completed just 52 percent of his passes and threw zero touchdowns to one interception. I would expect a mediocre performance from Flacco in Week 4.

1. Arian Foster, RB, Houston Texans

Arian Foster, who scored the most points in fantasy football last season, is currently enduring a nightmare of a 2011. He's battling a hamstring injury, a backup by the name of Ben Tate is taking carries from him and, to make matters worse, he faces the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. Even if he returns in Week 4, he's not going to get many carries, or fantasy points.
