Week 4 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Titans To Snag After Kenny Britt Injury

Eric BallJun 7, 2018

The Tennessee Titans offense is going to be unveiling some new names in the near future.

Their stud receiver Kenny Britt has reportedly torn his ACL and has been lost for the season. It’s a brutal blow to the Titans offense, but something fantasy owners need to take advantage of.

Britt accounted for just under 300 yards and 17 receptions in a little over two weeks of action, which means there is going to be a ton of opportunity for Nate Washington.

He is the No. 2 that is now forced into the No. 1 role, something he didn’t handle exceptionally well a season ago. By now somebody else already snatched him up in your league, so consider the following options:

Lavelle Hawkins

The fourth-year pro has never hauled in more than 110 yards in a season, but is now going to get a lot more throws in his direction. He isn’t particularly tall at 5-11, but has decent speed and can turn into a possession receiver for QB Matt Hasselbeck.

He has 38 yards in two games, but will now be getting a lot more balls thrown in his direction. I wouldn’t pick him up just yet, but make sure you keep an eye on him over the next two weeks.

Damian Williams

The second-year receiver out of USC is still learning the game and is now getting thrown into the fire.

He had an impressive 19-yard grab in limited action against the Broncos on Sunday, and expect him to be much more involved in the offense this week.

How much?

Who knows.

Unknown Street Player

The Tennessean has suggested the Titans are considering signing a guy that currently doesn’t have a team. The names tossed around included Donnie Avery and Buster Davis (No T.O.?).

Keep an eye on the roster movement of the Titans in the next few days as a possible street free agent may quickly turn into one of the best waiver wire pickups of the year.

Bottom line…don’t pull the trigger too early on any of these guys, but pay attention to the Titans' box score rather closely over the next few weeks.
