10 Ways Miz and R-Truth Could Return to WWE with a Vengeance
Last night's RAW marked exactly one week since R-Truth and The Miz were fired from their jobs in WWE.
There were a few mentions of their firings, but no actual appearances from them on the show itself. This was a big fear for fans who were worried that their "release" was going to be short-lived like so many before them.
This is a good sign for wrestling fans, especially those who are fans of the Awesome Truth.
Even though fans of R-Truth or The Miz may be upset that their favorites are not on TV anymore and aren't billed to be on pay-per-view this Sunday, the two will come back. In fact, the duo have been billed on the card during house shows since their public firing, "invading" on multiple occasions.
Murmurs of a return with a brand new New World Order with Kevin Nash have been kicked around, but do we really want to see yet another nWo reincarnation? Here are ten fresh ideas for Awesome Truth to possibly use, all of which have the potential to be awesome and memorable.
1) Return on Smackdown
1 of 10When Dolph Ziggler was fired earlier this year by Smackdown GM Teddy Long, Ziggler took a few weeks off before popping back up on RAW. It was essentially his way of moving from one brand to another. Since the RAW general manager doesn't send e-mails, WWE COO Triple H is essentially the GM of RAW. Theoretically, The Miz and R-Truth could pop up on Smackdown and look for contracts on that brand.
The brilliance in that move is that Awesome Truth doesn't need to compete with the likes of Cena, Punk and Del Rio. It would almost automatically put R-Truth and The Miz in the main event with the likes of Mark Henry, Christian, Randy Orton and Sheamus. An added bonus is that RAW is a SuperShow, meaning R-Truth and The Miz can still appear on RAW as members of the Smackdown roster.
2) Crash Hell in a Cell
2 of 10This is the next idea to be brought up. Hell In A Cell is this Sunday and shocking returns do happen on pay-per-view. It is an automatic feud starter and can immediately gain heat since they don't belong there. There are a bunch of ways for this comeback to happen on Sunday, with one of them being explained more in detail in the next slide.
It doesn't even have to be a run-in with an actual match, although that will likely have a more effective impact in the long run. Triple H won't be on the card, which would be their likely initial target, but there are multiple other ways for Hell In A Cell to be a shocking return.
3) Interrupt Triple Threat WWE Championship HIAC Match
3 of 10Here's a likely stop for Awesome Truth's return if it is going to be on Sunday.
It's Triple H's prized main event and the first Triple Threat Hell In A Cell match ever. The Miz is a former champion, and R-Truth's conspiracy theory started over the championship.
You could really get creative with this return. They can be disguised as other workers. The cameraman and photographer have both been done before, but dressing them both like referees would be pretty funny.
A bad injury could force the door to the cell open, giving them the opportunity to come in. Having them hide under the ring would also be nice. Planting them in the crowd is a likely scenario, so steering clear of that would be better off.
4) Jump AirBoom
4 of 10This is what they have been doing during house shows, so this could be possible for TV as well. This whole mess was due to their actions at Night of Champions. A lot of the blame, at least in Awesome Truth's conspiracy-filled minds, could be placed on AirBoom. They haven't announced a match for them just yet, but it could happen and could involve an ambush attack.
Also an important thing to keep in mind for all of this is John Laurinaitis' involvement. He is the Vice President of Talent Relations, in case you haven't heard it from him.
He deals with the talent directly and was out there interfering at Night of Champions with Awesome Truth. They might not have been on the same page before that night, but may be aligning with one another after the firing.
5) Return at Vengeance
5 of 10Did you see the play on the title?
WWE Vengeance, the name that used to be attached to Night of Champions, makes its return to the pay-per-view lineup this year, replacing Bragging Rights. Vengeance is less than four weeks away and, if they want to have people truly be shocked, they can have Awesome Truth come back with a vengeance at Vengeance.
Vengeance takes place in San Antonio on October 23.
6) Masked in Mexico
6 of 10Right before Vengeance, WWE has a tour through Mexico from October 12 through October 16. They will likely tape two episodes of each show while in Mexico before coming back to Texas for Vengeance.
A funny gag would be the masked Miz and R-Truth. They did it with John Cena becoming "Juan Cena" at house shows following his firing a year ago. We have even seen Edge and Christian dress as Los Conquistadors when they weren't allowed a tag team title shot.
I don't think everyone would be on board with this idea since it has been done before. They even had The Miz don a mask before as The Calgary Kid. Remember that The Miz was technically fired once before and came back with his new attitude and ring gear.
7) Returning in Europe
7 of 10Following Vengeance, WWE spends nearly the first half of November in Europe.
It was in Europe—more specifically, in England—when R-Truth officially turned heel and infamously lit up a smoke. Truth can come full circle and come back overseas where it all started for him.
They can even work in some random story about how they are allowed to appear in another country or something. I'm not sure how that would actually make sense, but I can leave that job up to WWE. They don't always actually make sense, so it isn't a huge requirement.
8) Crashing Survivor Series
8 of 10Survivor Series is in New York City's Madison Square Garden. It is expected to be a very epic event that would put us on the fast track to WrestleMania.
Awesome Truth will have to be back by this event at the end of November. Whether they are in a Survivor Series match is anyone's guess, but it will be likely. This could mean that there is a return a few weeks before it or they can even re-debut at the event and shock the MSG crowd.
WWE always does things big for The Garden and a shocking return of these two would be yet another cap in the company's feather.
9) Miz Has a Birthday Party in Oklahoma City
9 of 10I think this one would be pretty funny.
The Miz turns 31 on October 8. Two days later, RAW is in Oklahoma City. Awesome Truth could buy tickets to the event to celebrate his birthday and be sucked into the storyline.
Triple H's growing ego could try to punish the two despite them not actually doing anything wrong, which can lead to an unexpected brawl. It could even lead to Triple H rehiring them to get them out of his hair and punishing them to a match at Vengeance, less than two weeks from that date.
10) Hack WWE.com
10 of 10Why not hack the website that got them fired to begin with?
WWE is branching into social media, so why not have a hacked website storyline with Awesome Truth taking over the website that cost them their jobs? It would be a nice treat for regular visitors to the site and could improve traffic for that time period exponentially.
Personally, this would be a good idea that hasn't been done before and the plan could be hatched at any time. With all of WWE's Twitter accounts and those types of accounts being hacked easily, it could begin on Twitter and branch to the entire site.
Follow me on Twitter for news on the upcoming Hell In A Cell and alerts on when The Miz and R-Truth will hack Twitter... it could happen.
