Redskins vs Cowboys Monday Night Football: Dez Bryant's Injury Will Be Nonfactor

Dez Bryant is dealing with a quad injury, but he is expected to play. 

According to rotoworld, Bryant will be active.  He will be joined by Tony Rome and Felix Jones, two other players dealing with injuries.  These injury updates are good news for the Dallas Cowboys.

Tonight's matchup against the Washington Redskins is a great opportunity for Bryant to gain some positive national attention.  Bryant's career has been hampered by injuries and off the field issues.  However, a big-time performance tonight would help him reshape his image.

I feel that Bryant's quad injury will be a non-factor, as he will provide some spectacular plays.  At times, Bryant has flashed his potential.  Tonight, he will have the national spotlight, Romo under-center, and the drive to beat a division rival.

So much of Bryant's ability comes from his passion and will to succeed.  He will be challenged by DeAngelo Hall, an equally passionate player.  Neither Bryant nor Hall will want the other to upstage him.

We have seen plenty of examples of players overcoming adversity, only to shine on Monday Night Football. 

The Cowboys vs Redskins is one of the better rivalries in the NFL, throw in the injury questions surrounding the Cowboys and you have a recipe for a great storyline.

Dallas is going to be counting on Bryant to produce.  They are without Miles Austin, who has been their most consistent receiver.  The Cowboys are also dealing with a running game that has struggled to develop. 

Washington has a very solid defense, that loves to bring a ton of pressure.  Romo and the running game will be facing a great deal of penetration.

Bryant is going to have to find a way to get open and threaten the defense.  If Bryant is able to strike deep, he would open things up for the running game.  It would also make the Redskins commit more attention to Bryant, limiting the amount of potential blizters.
