Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In the NFC it's the Packers, Lions and Redskins.
The Packers? Totally expected.
Lions and Bills? Now that has to be the surprise of the season and a real reason for those two throngs of faithful fans to dance with elation.
Surprising teams at 3-0? You betcha.
Be honest now, Bills fan—raise your hand if you had your guys beating the Patriots last week when you went through that schedule before the season began.
Raise your hand if you thought a Harvard man, Ryan Fitzpatrick, could take your team to victory over Tom Brady. Raise them high—yes, thought so.
Still, 3-0 is 3-0 and plenty of reason to be excited in Buffalo, especially now before the heavy snow sets in.
How about the formerly downtrodden in Detroit?
Those faithful had to bear the brunt of 0-16. They had to bear the brunt of Jim Rome and who knows how many other yappers who simply found it too easy to heap abuse.
So Detroit's message to Rome and the rest?
How do you like us now?
How do you like Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Brandon Pettigrew and Suh, as in Ndamukong?
The Lions have earned it; they've done what they should do. They upset the Buccaneers at home in Week 1, a team that coach Raheem Morris wants to "wins the NFC South."
They blasted the Kansas City Chiefs and then came from 20 back at halftime to punk the Vikings on the road Sunday.
Yes, Detroit is for real and will have a chance to prove that further when the Lions travel to Dallas next Sunday and get the Cowboys when they come off a Monday night game.
Two of Buffalo's wins have been quality victories. Sure they wiped out Kansas City to open their schedule and Kansas City is so very wipeable. But then the Bills took down Oakland and you know what happened this past Sunday when they came from 21 back to stun the Patriots.
Say what you want but that's no ordinary occurrence, coming from way back to take down Brady and the boys.
Now you can also throw the Redskins in there but they're not at 3-0 yet, so we'll put them on hold until tomorrow.
Until then, it's simply Detroit and Buffalo.
And the last shall be first.
Surprising? Yes.
Really surprising?
That too.
