NFL Power Rankings: Is AFC or NFC League's Best Conference?
Is the NFC the best conference in the NFL?
With the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, New Orleans Saints, Washington Redskins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it has got to be right?
The Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens might have something to say about that.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value ๐
Let's take a look.
The NFC does have three of the four unbeaten teams in the league (Packers, Lions and Redskins, who play on MNF).
However, the AFC has six teams at 1-2 or worse and the NFC has eight teams under the .500 mark.ย
Many of the games thus far have been intra-conference, but it seems as though the NFC is more top heavy.ย
As far as the teams we were expecting to be contenders, we've got surprises on both sides.ย
The Philadelphia Eagles (1-2) were stunned at home by an injury-ravished New York Giants team, and could be without Michael Vick for a few weeks.ย
The Atlanta Falcons (1-2) beat those Eagles in Week 2, but were totally outmatched against the Bears in the season opener, and were overpowered by the Buccaneers in Week 3.ย
Ben Roethlisberger's Pittsburgh Steelers are 2-1, but they were blown out against the Baltimore Ravens on Kickoff Weekend, and were very sloppy against the Colts on Sunday Night Football.
We do have have pleasant surprises atop both conferences, namely the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders.ย
The play of these teams will help determine which conference is best.
It is still very early, but right now, the NFC gets the slight edge over the AFC because of the fire power at the top...although it's an extremely close race.ย
We'll see some inter-conference games in the coming weeks, which will help end this debate.
