NFL Picks Week 3: Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys Prop Bets

Jeff GrantJun 7, 2018

The Washington Redskins (2-0) and Dallas Cowboys (1-1) are set to face off in an NFC East rivalry contest on ESPN's Monday Night Football inside Cowboys Stadium.

Kickoff for the prime-time event is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. EDT in Arlington, TX.

Dallas opened up as 4.5-point home favorites on Sunday afternoon after it became clear that quarterback Tony Romo would be under center, while the total has been bet down a point to 45.

We swept all five proposition wagers last week when the St. Louis Rams played the New York Giants—there's no reason we can't do it again.

Let's take a closer look at four prop bets that will line your pockets with cash at the end of the night.

First Score of the Game

1 of 4

Both meetings last year opened scoring with a field goal, and I don't see any reason why that doesn't continue tonight.

Dallas is likely to start with a conservative game plan due to Tony Romo's injuries, while Washington is playing on the road for the first time this season.

Great value.

Recommendation: Field Goal (+135)

Which Quarter Will Have the Most Points Scored?

2 of 4

The highest scoring cumulative quarter for both of these teams is the fourth, which should definitely come into play during a prime-time event.

Dallas and Washington have combined to score 18 points a game in the final 15 minutes, which barely edges the second quarter with 17 a contest.

In last year's 33-30 Cowboys win inside Cowboys Stadium, the final quarter led all scoring with 19 points, which included 16 from the visitor.

Let's hope history repeats itself.

Recommendation: Fourth quarter (+200)

Washington QB's First Pass of the Game

3 of 4

Washington Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman is having a nice year, completing 46-of-77 passes for 596 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions.

It's important to note that he will be playing away from home for the first time this year, which will likely see a slight drop off from those numbers tonight.

I see tremendous value in the former Florida Gators signal-caller to misfire on this first passing attempt tonight, which would give us a nice early score in terms of profit.

Recommendation: Incomplete pass (+155)

Santana Moss vs. Dez Bryant

4 of 4

Sometimes immaturity overcomes talent, and that's the story of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant.

He looked like the next coming of Randy Moss in the first 15 minutes of the season opener—before falling apart with attitude and injuries.  The 22-year-old finished that contest with three catches for 71 yards and a touchdowns.

Due to Romo's likely issues in terms of mobility, he will likely be targeting underneath routes to tight end Jason Witten.

Washington Redskins receiver Santana Moss lives for games in this rivalry and already has 11 catches for 137 yards and a touchdown.

He will be playing his 13th game in this NFC East rivalry, entering with 73 catches for 1,055 yards and six scores.

That's enough for me.

Recommendation: Santana Moss (+5.5) receiving yards vs. Dez Bryant
