Beanie Wells Injury: Wells' Nagging Hamstring Means Big Day for Larry Fitzgerald

Kyle VassaloJun 7, 2018

Beanie Wells is expected to be deactivated, according to Adam Schefter. While Wells' fantasy owners are disappointed by this news after such a resounding start to the season, Larry Fitzgerald owners should be elated.

All of the "you have to run to set up the pass" mumbo jumbo doesn't apply here. It may help the Cardinals obtain a victory, but "Ws" don't do anything for you in fantasy football.

Kevin Kolb is going to have to take on an even bigger role, and with the way the Seahawks are playing, you can expect him to hit Fitzgerald early and often.

The Cardinals are starting to resurrect the passing game that launched them into the Super Bowl. Even if they wanted to run a balanced attack, they don't have the backs to do it.

The days of trying to muster something out of a Tim Hightower/Beanie Wells tandem are over. The Seahawks are a manageable opponent, and the Cardinals reverting back to a pass-happy offense is inevitable.

Fitz had a huge day last week against the Redskins, racking up 133 yards in a losing effort. Every week, we are going to see Kolb and Fitzgerald get more and more comfortable with one another, which means big things for fantasy owners.

Even LaRod Stephens-Howling is listed as questionable, which puts even more pressure on the passing game. Kolb is going to be forced to air it out, and you had better believe that he's going to be looking to one of the best receivers in the business to get it done.

It looks like Wells is out this week, and Fitzgerald owners are hoping he takes his time recovering.
