Cam Newton: Projecting Panthers QB's Fantasy Numbers vs. Jaguars
Cam Newton will have another big-time fantasy performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Newton has surprised the entire football world by producing back to back 400-yard passing games. Fantasy owners that took a chance on Newton find themselves in a good position.
Newton was likely selected in the later rounds, as your possible backup. However, his production makes him a legitimate fantasy football starter. Newton owners have a decision to make, as they could use him as potential trade bait.
Those who own Newton are hoping he continues his stellar performance. Today's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars is a great chance for Newton to put up more big numbers. He is facing a Jaguars team that is featuring first-time starter Blaine Gabbert.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Gabbert is a fellow rookie, but is making his first NFL start. It is always tough for rookies making their first start, especially on the road. Gabbert is facing more pressure, due to the head to head matchup against Cam Newton.
All the factors working against Blaine Gabbert, work for Cam Newton. If Gabbert struggles it would mean more possessions for the Panthers. Those extra possessions means more passing opportunities for Cam Newton.
The Jaguars' defense is built to stop the run. They have a good front seven with strong linebacker play. However, they have some issues on the back end. Their secondary is average at best, giving the Panthers an opportunity to create some mismatches.
I expect the Jaguars to slow the running game, forcing Cam to throw the football.
I predict that Newton will pass for over 300 yards, while adding two touchdowns. With Newton's ability to run the ball, he is always a candidate to add a rushing touchdown.
