NFL Fantasy: Why Vick Will Go off on New York Giants Defense
Michael Vick is ready to go after being injured last week at the Atlanta Falcons, his former home. He plays a New York Giants defense that has been average at best in 2011.
Status
ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio says that he will start for the Eagles against the Giants. Actually, Vick almost came back into the game last week against the Falcons, but didn’t for precautionary reasons.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Game Projection
Vick will probably have a field day against the Giants secondary. He should be able to use his speedy weapons to gain massive amounts of yardage. Also, if he feels like running, Vick will be able to run the football at a positive level.
How much will he run? That is a concern in fantasy football. It’s a bad thing because his numbers won’t be as high as normal, but it is also a good thing because he will be less likely to get injured. It’s is a win/lose situation for fantasy owners.
Fantasy Projection
Vick throws for 250 yards and scores three touchdowns, one running. He also gets 50 yards rushing the football so depending on your league he will put up five points or two points yardage-wise.
That totals about 25 points in most leagues.
The result equals another great fantasy week for Vick and fantasy owners.
Game Result
It’s tough to say when dealing with Eli Manning. He has the capability of being great (Super Bowl MVP) but also has the capability to look like a rookie quarterback with his accuracy issues.
If Manning shows up ready to play, it could equal a Giants victory. The defense has to be able to contain Vick, too. New York has a great opportunity to win the game if it contains Vick.
Chances are it won’t. Therefore, Philadelphia wins the game 31-20.
