Randy Moss: Which NFL Team Will Land Mercurial WR?

Alex KayJun 7, 2018

According to Adam Schefter, via his twitter handle, Randy Moss is considering a return to the NFL.

As you can see in the tweet, Moss is looking for a team with an experienced QB and ready to make a playoff run.

The teams that Schefter listed include the Patriots, Eagles, Jets, Giants, Cowboys and Bears. Most of these teams could use a receiver like Moss because of injury or lack of solid No. 1 receiver on the offense.

The Patriots have a history with Moss and he could be considered, but the team added Chad Ochocinco and Tom Brady has been passing just fine to Deion Branch, Wes Welker and their beastly tight end platoon of Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez.

The Eagles could use Moss, as the top two receivers on the team are both six-foot or under. Moss is a legitimate 6-foot-4 and would be a great red zone target for Michael Vick to look for when the team gets down there.

I don’t see the Jets having a need for Moss, but you never know with Rex Ryan leading that team. They already have Plaxico Burress and Santonio Holmes on the roster and they have looked good this season with an improving Mark Sanchez finding them with an increased volume of passes.

The Cowboys could use Moss because injuries have slowed down their top two WRs, Miles Austin and Dez Bryant. Tony Romo could always use another weapon in the Dallas passing offense and Moss is easily the best free agent receiver left on the market.

The Giants have the most use for Moss because injuries have decimated their receiving corps. Domenik Hixon is out for the year and Mario Manningham is dealing with issues stemming from a concussion.

He would be a great boon for the team lining up along with Hakeem Nicks and Eli Manning would love to have a receiver as good as Moss. The team let his favorite target, Steve Smith, get away in the offseason and Moss could replace that production.

It will be interesting to see where Moss ends up, if anywhere, because he is not even sure if he will play again in the league.

Moss was in New England playing golf about two weeks ago and rumors were around that he was considering joining the Patriots.

"No, I'm done," Moss told weei.com. "I'm just here golfing, minding my business."

Let’s see if he changes his mind.
