NFL Picks Week 3: Which Teams Can Book Super Bowl Tickets Now?
The New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers are ready to start planning their trips to the Super Bowl. As we approach Week 3, these two teams have looked great and at times unstoppable. Both teams feature quarterbacks playing at an MVP level—and we all know this league is driven by the success of the quarterback.
Offensively, both the Patriots and Packers are firing on all cylinders. They have been able to put up a ton of points, while also sustaining drives. The offensive success puts a ton of pressure on their opponents. Opposing teams cannot make a mistake or turn the ball over—any mistake would likely result in points.

These teams also do a great job controlling the tempo of the football game. Many teams are not capable of playing mistake-free football, especially when forced to have extra possessions. Brady and Rodgers are capable of scoring quickly, meaning both teams will have extra offensive snaps.
There are only a handful of quarterbacks capable of playing at this tempo. Brady, Rodgers and Drew Brees are the first ones that come to mind. We saw last week that Philip Rivers was unable to avoid mistakes, ultimately costing his team the football game.
While both offenses have been impressive, the defenses have struggled. Both units have given up a lot of points. The Packers are thought to have a very good defense, making the early struggles less of a worry. However, a recent injury to Nick Collins may add more time to the turn around.
The Patriots have a young defense, with a lot of players looking to make a name for themselves. However, this unit has struggled to create consistent pressure. The strength of the unit appears to be at the cornerback position. This helps balance out the struggles creating pressure, as they can expect the corners to hold up in coverage longer.
It is hard to make an argument against both of these teams. They have the star power, success and coaching needed to make a strong Super Bowl run.
