Fantasy Football Week 3 Rankings: 3 Games That Will Produce High-Scoring QBs

Michael DixonJun 7, 2018

The first two weeks of the NFL season has given us no shortage of offense. We've seen countless amounts of quarterbacks have 300-yard games, or multiple touchdown passes.

Is this a trend that we can expect to continue in the following games? Yes.

Of course, by saying that, I am probably guaranteeing three games that will finish with 6-3 final scores, but that's the name of the game.

Most of these quarterbacks are probably not available in your fantasy leagues. If they are, consider signing them.

If you have any of these defenses, bench them.

Saints vs. Texans

Let's be honest for a second. Given the weapons at their disposal and their skills, Matt Schaub and Drew Brees are going to have big weeks far more often than not.

Both of these defenses are capable of good things, but I see the offenses winning the day here. I like the Saints to win the game, although the Texans are certainly capable of winning in New Orleans.

It wouldn't surprise me if both quarterbacks went over 300 yards with multiple touchdown passes. Both players have the weapons in place for a big day.

Bills vs. Patriots

People know that Tom Brady is good. It's not surprising that he's having a good start. It is surprising that he's on a pace to throw for 7,500 yards this season. Okay, it has been only two games, but that's an incredible pace.

The Bills' defense just allowed more than 300 yards passing to Jason Campbell. Given his weapons and the lack of a consistent New England running attack, Brady's numbers are going to be astronomical.

New England is off to a 2-0 start, but their pass defense hasn't exactly been the strength of the team. Bills' quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is off to a red-hot start.

He's not at Brady's level, but he's more than capable of putting up some big numbers this week. Fitzpatrick looks to be a rising star in the league.

Jaguars vs. Panthers

So, the first two may not be especially bold statements. This one is a little different.

Cam Newton has taken the NFL by storm in his first two weeks this season. But in this game, he's the more experienced of the two quarterbacks.

Jacksonville's Blaine Gabbert is making his NFL debut. I don't know about you, but I am curious to see how he does.

I had him ranked ahead of Cam Newton before the draft. If my assessment was anywhere near correct, the scoreboard operators in Carolina are going to have a hard time keeping up with this one.
