The Gunners looked like the team everyone expects them to be. They aren't there yet, though. They still have work to do on the defensive end, and they still need to be more consistent with their attack.
The team should have scored in the first half, but failed to convert on multiple opportunities. They even received boos from the crowd when the halftime whistle blew.
Make no mistake about it, Arsenal should have won this game by multiple goals. The encouraging part for Arsenal fans is that they did exactly that with a dominant second half performance.
One huge concern for Arsenal came at the end of the match when Theo Walcott limped off the field. He is an instrumental part of this team, and the Gunners cannot afford to lose him to injury.
This game should build Arsenal's confidence, but it doesn't immediately make the team's problems go away.
They still have problems all over the field, but for now, Gunners fans can relax as their team picks up a much needed three points at Anfield.
