UFC 135 Live Streaming: Jones vs. Rampage Bout Promises to Be Instant Classic
The marquee bout between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Jon "Bones" Jones Saturday night will not leave fight fans wanting. These two will put on a show fitting for the considerable hype surrounding the match.
The UFC is going out of their way to make sure that you are able to see it, as they are making the entire card available to watch on their official YouTube channel.
Beyond the in-ring attributes of each fighter, the bout has no shortage of intriguing story lines.
Rampage Jackson is desperately trying to prove that he is still an elite fighter in this sport. At 34 years old and with a loss to Rashad Evans still lingering in the recent past, there is reason to believe that he is slipping a bit.
There's also his acting career. Jackson famously canceled a fight with Evans because he took on the role of "B.A. Baracus" in the film adaptation of the classic TV show, The A-Team. There are plenty of people that think that Jackson has let acting get in the way of preparations for fights.
Jones, on the other hand, has no such distractions. He is a young, athletic fighter that is on the way up in MMA. Most feel like these two fighters are heading in two completely different directions.
Jones has a solid 13-1 professional record, but he has yet to fight in a match that has created so much hype. Dealing with all the lead-up to a fight this big is a whole different animal for fighters used to more low-key settings.
Expect a lot of quick action right from the start. The script that most people envision is Jones trying to get out to a quick start to overwhelm and tire Jackson before he can get comfortable. It's a strategy I expect Jones to employ.
Let's not write off Jackson from a physical standpoint, though. He has been through huge battles in this sport and he won't go quietly. If Jones isn't on his game, Jackson will beat him.
This match will live up to all of the hype and then some.
