Florida Atlantic vs. Auburn: Last Minute Spread Info and Predictions
The 0-2 Florida Atlantic Owls are taking a trip to Alabama on Saturday to take on the defending National Champion Auburn Tigers.
Although they are coming off of their first loss of the season, Auburn is heavily favored to win this game.
Florida Atlantic is playing its third consecutive BCS opponent. The first two have outscored them by a combined score of 85-3.

Spread
Auburn (-31.5 according to Bodog) is heavily favored against Florida Atlantic.
My best advice would be to steer away from the spread here. I could easily see Auburn up by a convincing score of 38-10 and not being too worried about scoring a touchdown to cover.
Auburn is a much better team, but 31.5 is a huge spread. I can't say that I expect this to be an especially good game, but a 31.5 spread might keep things interesting.
Over/Under
Bodog sets the over/under at 58 points. Florida Atlantic has a grand total of three points this year. Auburn's defense may not be as good as Florida or Michigan State's, but I am not expecting a lot from Florida Atlantic offensively.
The question then becomes, can Auburn take this one above the over/under on their own? I see a convincing win, but I don't see them hitting 50 points, which they will need to do.
I am pretty comfortable taking the under on this one.
Key Injuries
Florida Atlantic TE Alex Deleon (ribs) is doubtful.
Florida Atlantic T Maz Karrick (knee) is out indefinitely.
Florida Atlantic LB Yourhighness Morgan (concussion) is out for the season.
Auburn TE Philip Lutzenkirchen (leg) is questionable.
Auburn DE Justin Delaine (knee), UT Kris Frost (shoulder), and OL Aubrey Phillips (illness) are all out for the season.
BCS/Top 25 Poll Implications
It's really hard to see this game impacting the rankings. Neither team is currently ranked. Even a blowout win from Auburn wouldn't be impressive enough to get them in the Top 25.
At 0-2, a shocking upset from Florida Atlantic wouldn't be enough to earn them a Top 25 record.
Keys to Florida Atlantic Win
If Auburn makes any mistakes, Florida Atlantic needs to take full advantage of them. Basically, any slight Auburn miscue needs to turn into a Florida Atlantic touchdown.
Also, they need to keep Auburn's offense off of the field.
Keys to Auburn Win
If Auburn plays a smart game, they will win convincingly. Their biggest concern is making some early mistakes and then compounding them by making bigger mistakes to try to make up for them.
Prediction
Auburn may not cover the spread, but they don't need to to win very convincingly. I'll say they won't cover and the game won't hit 58 points, but I am not expecting much.
