Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys: Questions to Be Answered on Monday
One of the best things about living in Austin is ability to travel to Dallas and watch the Redskins play their rivals once a year. As great as it is to watch the 'Skins from Fed Ex, it's even better to watch them beat Dallas in Texas (provided they actually do beat them).
I will be tweeting live throughout the game—@danielnick01—and posting my observations that night after the game here on Bleacher Report. Feel free to follow me on Twitter for the game
There are several personnel issues on both sides of the ball this week. Some of the questions I'll be looking to answer include the following players:
Brandon Banks
1 of 6Will Brandon Banks finally break loose as we've been waiting for all season?
Every human being in that stadium will be watching him every time he touches the ball because the potential is there.
If Danny Smith puts the right combination of blockers on the field, Banks is going to take on back for six, I can feel it.
Graham Gano
2 of 6Will Graham Gano stay mentally tough in the most important game so far this season?
Last week, he was able to shrug off a blocked field goal and make a game-winning kick. If the game is on the line come Monday night, will that ball go straight through the uprights, or will it sail wide?
I hate that we are still asking this question this year. It remains to be seen if this was the one personnel decision that Shanahan blew in the off season.
LaRon Landry
3 of 6Will LaRon Landry be on the field, and if so, will he make an impact after being out for almost an entire year?
LaRon was having an All-Pro year last season before he hurt his Achilles. Will he pick up where he left off?
Can he?
Landry could be the final nail in the coffin for Dallas this week if he's the same player we remember.
DeMarcus Ware
4 of 6Will DeMarcus Ware have multiple sacks against our offensive line, and will the line be able to get the running game going?
The Giants prevented the running game from ever getting going in Week 1, and the Cowboys will look to do the same.
The NFC East teams all know how important the run game is to winning, so they tend to make a priority out of stopping it. It will be up to our Linemen to open those holes anyway.
Tony Romo and DeAngelo Hall
5 of 6Will Tony Romo play?
Honestly, I hope not. I think it's foolish and irresponsible for Dallas to have him on the field with his injuries.
That said, last season I'm pretty sure we beat Romo and lost to Kitna.
In a related question, will the Cowboys single out DeAngelo Hall for a few cheap shots for running his mouth this week?
If you're gonna talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk, DeAngelo.
Me, the Redskin Fan
6 of 6Last but definitely not least, will I be able to show my Burgundy and Gold with pride as I leave Cowboys Stadium while singing “Hail to the Redskins” at the top of my voice?
Because I'm going to if we win.
Oh yes, I am going to.
Hail!
