Week 3 Fantasy Football Start Em Sit Em: 3 WRs to Start in Deep Leagues

Tim KeeneyJun 7, 2018

The NFL is becoming more and more a passer's league, and that means wide receivers are starting to have nice days.

So, even if your fantasy team is lacking receiving options, there are plenty of guys out there with potential to go off. Here's a look at three guys who are hardly owned but could give your team a boost.

David Nelson (14.2 Percent Owned)

Nelson was seriously impressive last week as he pulled in 10 catches for 83 yards and the game winning touchdown.

This week he gets a Patriots secondary that has been burned by both Brandon Marshall and Vincent Jackson.

Clearly Nelson isn't on the level that those two are, but all three have something in common. They are all 6'4" or taller. Nelson is 6'5".

There's something about the Pats covering tall receivers that they have had trouble with, and as long as the Bills keep going with these four wide receiver sets, Nelson will be on the field plenty.

Matchup plus opportunity equals success.

Kevin Ogletree (0.7 Percent Owned)

The Dallas Cowboys could quite possibly be without Miles Austin, Dez Bryant and Felix Jones. First of all, that means Jason Witten is going to see a lot of targets.

It also means that Ogletree and Jesse Holley will be the starting wideouts. Both will see a fair amount of targets, but Ogletree is higher on the depth chart and has more experience.

I'd be more comfortable rolling with him, but both have big play ability.

Brandon LaFell (2.5 Percent Owned)

LaFell has established himself as Cam Newton's second favorite target behind Steve Smith and in an offense that throws 40 times a game for 400 yards, second target is pretty good.

The second-year LSU wideout should continue to get a lot of targets, and should be owned in much more than two percent of leagues.
