Week 3 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Available Kickers That Will Have Huge Days
Oh, the lowly kicker. Butt of many jokes, disrespected by his coworkers and fantasy football savior.
Savior? Absolutely. When games come down to a point or two here or there, don't always look to your stud quarterback or starting running back to give you that win. Look to your kicker, one of the most strategic roster spots in the entire game.
One of the smartest things a fantasy GM can do is pick a kicker week to week based on matchups. Me, I'm a loyalist. I like to draft one guy and stick with him, because I am stubborn and I get strange emotional attachments to my fantasy football roster fillers.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
But, don't be like me. Here, I will detail three kickers not only set to have productive weeks on the job, but who are also have a lower percentage of ownership, making one of them the perfect addition to your roster for Week 3.
John Kasay, New Orleans Saints (vs. Houston Texans)
When you think of the New Orleans Saints, do you think of three-and-out? No? Of course not. The Saints are the fifth-highest-scoring team in the league this season and have 43 1st downs.
Regardless of how they get to the red zone, they'll get there early and often against the Houston Texans. That means, at the very least, extra points, but it also means field goals, especially in a game that can easily turn into a back-and-forth scoring fest, given a few chance moments.
Kasay has seven PATs and three field goals so far this season, one of which went for more than 50 yards. He's a great bet to start this week, and is owned in just 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Shaun Suisham, Pittsburgh Steelers (at Indianapolis Colts)
Suisham's numbers have been held down by the Week 1 blowout against the Baltimore Ravens that saw the Steelers scoring just seven points. However, this week will be similar to last week, in that the Steelers are playing a desperately inferior defense that will allow the team a number of red-zone opportunities.
Suisham has made just one field goal and four extra points so far, but he will add to that total on Sunday. If you're in a deeper league with a lot of the better kickers already snapped up, he's a great option for Week 3. He's owned in just 11 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Rob Bironas, Tennessee Titans (vs. Denver Broncos)
Bironas has the benefit of a team that sees a number of red-zone opportunities go the way of the foot, with four field goals and four extra points through two games.
He has excellent range, with a leg that can easily kick 50-yarders should he be called upon to do so. He's a solid, go-to kicker, but remains available in 48 percent of Yahoo! leagues as of Thursday afternoon.
Combine that with the likelihood that the Titans will find themselves in scoring position a number of times on Sunday, and he's a great addition to your team in Week 3.
