Week 3 Fantasy Football Projections: 5 Fantasy Stars Flying Under the Radar

Gabe ZaldivarJun 7, 2018

It's time to give the following players their due propers as we extrapolate what to expect from them in Week 3 play. These players should be on your radar, because the rest of your league will soon be wise to them.

Here we will highlight some of the less-lauded fantasy studs of the early season. Then we will project whether they are worth your time of day in Week 3.

These are not your run-of-the-mill stars. One week they are giving you Aaron Rodgers numbers, the next they are playing like Bruce Gradkowski.

Here are some interesting finds among fantasy leagues heading into Week 3.

1. Jason Campbell (QB) - Raiders: Jason Campbell is yet to get the run he deserves. The Raiders are once again an electric offense, and will continue to be so despite injuries.

Campbell is only owned in 15 percent of Yahoo Leagues, so should be available for the taking. Don't expect him to throw up another 28 spot the way he did to the Bills, but the Jets are not going to completely shut him down. Projection: 15-18 points

2. Andy Dalton (QB) - Bengals: The Bengals were supposed to be a disaster to watch on offense. Andy Dalton and AJ Green have a new youth movement I can get behind.

He lit up Denver and will do the same to a 49ers defense that is not much better. I would temper your expectations a little. But this could be another great week from an unlikely hero. Projection: 18-20 points

3. Chad Henne (QB) - Dolphins: I will be the first to say that Chad Henne is a less than elite quarterback. Yet he has proved to be a worthy fantasy player in two weeks against two stout teams.

The best part is that he passed the Texans test, making the Browns a game worth starting him. I see a spike happening once again for Henne. Projection: 16-19 points

4. Scott Chandler (TE) - Bills: Ryan Fitzpatrick has been bombing it all over the field. However, Stevie Johnson can't do everything.

Scott Chandler emerged as a valuable asset in Week 1, only to backtrack in Week 2. He has scored in both weeks, and will again be targeted in the red zone. Projection: 7-10 points

5. Denarius Moore (WR) - Raiders: With injuries abounding at receiver, the Raiders turned to the young Denarius Moore to reel in some catches.

He didn't disappoint in a 22-point day against the Bills. He will be called upon against the Jets to do the same. He will not get the same production while being on Jason Campbell's radar. Projection: 6-9 points
