NFL Week 3 Picks: 3 Games That Will Be Closer Than You Think

Before you pass on these contests for possibly being drab blowouts, a closer look will tel you that they may just be the best games of this weekend. 

Just as you can't judge a book by its cover, you can't pigeon hole an NFL club for past transgressions. The next few games feature teams that are more similar in talent then we all like to admit.

After this weekend, a few of these teams will be getting a lot more respect than they have been receiving.

Here are the three games that you need to watch this weekend. That is, if you are into entertaining football games that are sliced razor thin.  

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills: I have this game marked as a shootout that will remind us of how great this sport can be to watch. 

The Patriots have the league's best arm in Tom Brady, but they also have a porous secondary. Chad Henne was made to look like a competent quarterback against them. When you consider Ryan Fitzpatrick is a much better QB, you begin to see how close this game will be.  

Prediction: Patriots 34, Bills 30

NY Jets at Oakland Raiders: These are two teams on polar opposites of the run game. The Raiders flourish on the ground, and the Jets are still trying to find their footing. 

The Jets will be without center Nick Mangold, exacerbating the issue. We could very well be facing an upset as the Raiders continue into Week 3 as one of the more prolific teams on offense.  

Prediction: Jets 27, Raiders 24 

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks have a dreadful offense that needs a spark. Enter the Arizona Cardinals. 

Arizona is as abysmal on defense as Seattle is on offense, giving up 932 yards in two games. The two will meet in what will be a close game between teams that will do their best to lose the game. It should be hilarious to watch.  

Prediction: Cardinals 24, Seahawks 20
