Fantasy Football Week 3 Rankings: Ranking the Worst TE Matchups
When setting your fantasy football lineup for Week 3 of the NFL season, consider these tight ends the worst plays:
5. Lance Kendricks, Rams
The Ravens aren't an easy matchup for any tight end, especially with Ed Reed healthy again. Kendricks, the Rams' second round pick from Wisconsin, hasn't been as involved in the offense as he was in the preseason, when he made big play after big play. I certainly wouldn't expect him to starting making those plays against facing the Ravens.

4. Brent Celek, Eagles
If Michael Vick can't go, your football instincts tell you that a young quarterback would likely be looking for a pass catching tight end frequently. That wasn't the case when Mike Kafka came into the game on Sunday night, as Celek wasn't targeted once. Even with Vick in the lineup, Celek has caught just five passes for 56 yards.
3. Fred Davis, Redskins
He's burst onto the fantasy scene in the first two weeks, catching a touchdown and racking up nearly 200 yards receiving. That trend might change on Monday night against the Cowboys. Dallas shut down All-Pro tight end Vernon Davis in Week 2, holding him to just two catches for 18 yards. If they focus their defense to stopping the tight ends like they should, Davis's production should go down in Week 3.
2. Visanthe Shiancoe, Vikings
Very few safeties in the NFL do a better job at covering tight ends than the Lions' Louis Delmas, who is an emerging play maker at the back end of Detroit's secondary. That alone makes this a tough matchup for Shiancoe. And we all thought that Donovan McNabb would be targeting his tight ends early and often this season, but that hasn't been the case.
1. Dallas Clark, Colts
Clark has a quarterback that can't move in the pocket in Kerry Collins, and he's facing a Steelers defense who will be focused on pressuring the quarterback and getting turnovers. Plus, there's this guy named Troy Polamalu who Clark will have to deal with. Overall, it adds up to a tough matchup for Clark and the Colts offense.
