Fantasy Football Week 3 Rankings: Ranking the Top TEs
With the NFL becoming a more pass-oriented league, the TE position is only becoming that much more important.
Yes it helps to have one who can also block, therefore acting as a sixth offensive lineman in the rushing attack, but they are gradually becoming the biggest receiving threats on the field.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Because they are bigger and stronger than most DBs, and a lot faster and quicker than most LBs.
The game is changing, but for the TEs of the world, it's a good change.
So with that, here are the Top 3 TEs for fantasy football Week 3.
Note: Rankings are strictly for Week 3 only.
3. Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Even though QB Tony Romo played a great game in Week 2, it's for uncertain as to who will be under center for Dallas in Week 3, as he is dealing with a rib injury.
That being said however, TE Jason Witten is always a solid outlet, and if seasoned vet Jon Kitna gets the call, Witten will be his favorite target.
Also include the fact that WR Austin Miles has a hamstring issue and Witten will be the Cowboys biggest receiving threat.
And although the Redskins have a solid LB core, they're not nearly as good in coverage as they are in stopping the run.
Witten will put up solid numbers and it'll be just another day at the office.
2. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots
For the fair-weather football fans, Rob Gronkowski has yet to become a household name outside of the New England are.
And that's understandable with the likes of Antonio Gates and Jason Witten (neither of which have a TD by the way).
Nonetheless, Gronkowski is becoming just like the aforementioned Hernandez and is capitalizing on the passing effects of Tom Brady and his John Stockton-esque way of dishing the ball around evenly.
Through two games Rob has compiled 172 yards on ten receptions, and has scored three TDs.
And, nine of his ten catches have gone for a first down.
Much like Hernandez, he is dangerous in the red zone, so count on him doing some more work on Sunday as well.
1. Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons
In game one Tony Gonzalez has five catches for 72 yards, which was not a bad day by any means.
Week 2 however, Tony caught seven passes for 83 yards and scored two TDs en route to helping Atlanta defeat Philadelphia in the Georgia Dome.
Currently, Gonzalez leads the Falcons offense in receptions (12), targets (16), yards (155), TDs (two), and first-downs (ten).
For as much talent as there is on the Atlanta offense with WRs Roddy White and Julio Jones, and RB Michael Turner in the backfield, it just goes to show you how effective Tony Gonzalez is, and how much of an impact he can have.
The future Hall of Famer is the best TE in the game, and also is very good at run blocking.
He's the complete package and if there's a guy who QB Matt Ryan can count on, it's Tony G.
