NFL Picks Week 3: 3 Blowouts That Are Perfect for Your Sunday Nap

Gabe ZaldivarSep 21, 2011

There is nothing like a lazy Sunday afternoon, one in which you can open your eyes only to see the most pertinent NFL games. Let me save you the trouble by stating that you can sleep right through these games.

The following games feature teams on two sides of the football spectrum. There are the haves. These are the teams with an actual shot to reach the postseason, proving early in this season that they are stout.

Then there are the have-nots. These are my favorite type of teams, the kind that you can make fun of weekly. If nothing else, they make your life seem all the better.

Here are the lopsided affairs that are guaranteed for this weekend.

Baltimore Ravens at St. Louis Rams

It pains me to say, but the Rams are horrible once again. Coming from the desk of a man that has rooted for the Rams since the Flipper Anderson days, I can say that I am used to this.

Seeing the Rams literally throw their last game away, I am convinced they are still a season and several healthy starters away from competing with the best in the game. The Ravens will enjoy this dismantling thoroughly. Prediction: Ravens 27, Rams 15

Kansas City Chiefs at San Diego Chargers

The Chiefs looked confused on offense, and then they lost one of their key weapons. The loss of Jamaal Charles is a huge blow to a team that won the division just a season ago.

The Chargers will put too many points on the board for the Chiefs to deal with. This one will be over before the third quarter is through. Prediction: Chargers 34, Chiefs 13

Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are not only missing Peyton Manning, they are missing a defense that can stop the run.

The Steelers will run it up the gut for hundreds of yards on Sunday. What makes this a blowout its the fact that the Colts can't mount any sort of offensive attack. Prediction: Steelers 27, Colts 12
