Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
1. Tim Hightower: Washington Redskins
Hightower is the perfect fit in head coach Mike Shanahan’s zone blocking scheme and the results have been aces thus far. He has 168 yards and a TD, with 35 receiving yards to boot.
Hightower’s 49 total touches are outstanding for two games. Don’t be concerned with the 10 carries by Roy Helu on Sunday; the coaching staff is merely preserving their main back for the long and grueling season.
It shouldn’t take a whole lot to get him, so jump on board before the price is too high.
2. Daniel Thomas: Miami Dolphins
The ‘Fins have made it clear who their main back is going forward.
After missing Week 1, Thomas burst out onto the scene with 107 rushing yards and another 10 receiving.
He has great burst through the tackles and seems to really hit the hole hard with little hesitation. In other words, he is the exact opposite of his competition—Reggie Bush.
Pick up Thomas before he has his breakout game.
3. Willis McGahee: Denver Broncos
When injuries and common sense meet, a fantasy star is born.
Sure you may be worried about a back that is close to 30, but he’s currently in a great situation with the Broncos.
Habitual underachiever Knowshon Moreno is injured once again and McGahee took full advantage of the opportunity against the Bengals. Can I interest you in 100 yards and a TD?
New head coach John Fox is clearly instituting the run-first policy he held in Carolina and is going to be feeding the ball to his backs early and often.
McGahee is still undervalued by almost everybody—pick him up now.
