WWE: 7 Reasons why Vickie Guerrero Will Drop Dolph Ziggler

Sharon GlencrossJun 5, 2018

Let's face it: all on-screen friendships, romantic pairings and business relationships in WWE inevitably come to messy, occasionally, violent ends. Hey, this is wrestling. No one wants to get people to actually get along!

And we reckon Vickie Guerrero, WWE's leading heel manager, will soon be dropping her boytoy, Dolph Ziggler, as a client and moving on. Why?

Well, let's have a look at a few reasons why this so far fruitful relationship is likely coming to a dramatic close...

Jack Swagger Is a Far Better Prospect

1 of 7

Jack Swagger and Vickie have shared a flirtatious relationship in recent times, ruffling the feathers of Vickie's current beau, Dolph, who doesn't like Swagger attempting to muscle in on his woman. Highly complimentary of each other whenever they interact on Raw, it has been strongly hinted the villainous manager will recruit the “All-American American” for her stable.

If that's the case, she may shift her full attention onto Swagger, a star who is arguably a far more promising prospect than Ziggler is. The looks, the wrestling ability, the promo skills; Swagger has it all. And an opportunistic Vickie may see him as a far more valuable client than Ziggler and decided to dump her boytoy for a newer, more improved model.

WWE May Have Bigger Plans for Her

Giving the complicated corporate struggle currently going on in WWE, with Triple H, Kevin Nash and Johnny Ace all embroiled in a heated, vicious scrap for ultimate power, Vickie loudly boasted at the Night of Champions pay-per-view that she could step in and be appointed the new COO of WWE if HHH lost to CM Punk in the main event and was fired.

Rather than just being an off-handed remark, is it possible the booking team was sneakily telegraphing a future storyline in which the conniving female manager takes over the show?

Vickie Prefers Hugh Jackman to Dolph

Vickie's flirtatious behaviour on Raw last night made one thing perfectly clearshe prefers this dashing Hollywood movie star to her own boyfriend, Dolph. And let's be honest, do we really blame her?

Knowing how determined Vickie is, we wouldn't put it past the feisty manager to drop Dolph and run off to Hollywood to try and win Hugh over with her charm.

Dolph Lost to Zack Ryder on Raw

4 of 7

With a fair bit of help from guest host Hugh Jackman, wacky Internet sensation Zack Ryder bested U.S Champion Dolph in a non-title match on Raw this past Monday.

As a power-hungry manager who craves success, Vickie cannot be happy with this loss, and the embarrassment may lead to her severing all ties with Dolph.

Dolph May Be Turning Face Soon

5 of 7

There is quite obviously a Swagger/Ziggler feud brewing, and if that is the case, one of them will have to turn face. Considering the naturally arrogant and obnoxious Swagger is a far superior heel, he'll likely stay as he is, and Ziggler will be the one to change his ways.

If that scenario happens, expect the dastardly Vickie to be appalled by her boyfriend's change of heart and dramatically boot him out of her new stable.

Vickie's Relationships Never Ever Work out

6 of 7

Let's face it; Vickie had a rough time of it with men in recent years. Whether it's Edge or The Big Show or Eric Escobar, the poor woman is a magnet for failed, destructive relationships that play out and unravel in very public settings.

Maybe she should try eHarmony or something, because dating wrestlers never works out. Going by this, we think she'll end up splitting with Dolph eventually, too.

A successful romantic relationship for this woman in wrestling? Ha!

Dolph Refuses To Defend Her Honor

7 of 7

As Alberto Del Rio astutely noted to Dolph backstage on Raw a few weeks ago, maybe Vickie has taken up with Jack Swagger lately because she is simply looking for a man who will fight for her and defend her against all the awful, nasty insults.

Hey, Vickie's become a punching bag for everyone on Raw these days: Alex Riley, John Cena, Jerry Lawler...they've all taken their verbal cheap shots at her and hurtfully made fun of her looks and weight.

And what does Dolph, her loving partner, do? Well, not much, really. And if he ever does take on Cena or Riley, he usually just loses and gets beaten up and the terrible jokes continue. Hardly the White Knight Vickie must deeply desire, is he? No wonder she's looking elsewhere.
