Week 3 Fantasy Football Rankings: 3 Defenses That Will Dominate
Finding a consistent fantasy defense is next to impossible. Even the best fail to produce fantasy points week in and week out. That is because it is all about the matchups. The following three teams have matchups that are going to play right into their hands and lead to big fantasy days.
Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions defense is off to a solid start. They have a stellar defensive line and they are capable of picking up multiple sacks in any game.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
They will be facing a Minnesota Vikings team that is about as one-dimensional as a team can be. They are third in rushing yards and 31st in passing yards. And that is an especially shocking number, considering they are 0-2.
The Lions are going to force the Vikings to throw the ball in this one, and when Donovan McNabb drops back to pass, good things will happen for the defense.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers defense is almost always good for a few sacks. They will likely be good for a lot more than that this week.
The Indianapolis Colts roll into town with their struggling offensive line and their out-of-retirement QB. The Colts will not be able to run on the Steelers, which is going to leave Kerry Collins open to a variety of blitzes that the Colts are not equipped to pick up.
This one could get ugly, unless you have the Steelers D on your fantasy squad—then it will be a sight to behold.
San Diego Chargers
San Diego's defense has been solid but not spectacular early this season. However, they are going to get a big boost this week as the massively disappointing and shockingly horrible Chiefs roll into town.
Absolutely nothing is going right for the Chiefs. They are getting decent gains in the run game, but they are falling so behind that it renders the run game moot.
At the root of their problems is turnovers. Matt Cassel has already thrown four picks this season. The Chargers D is going to have plenty of opportunities to score some fantasy points in this one.
