NFL Power Rankings Week 2: 3 Bottom Feeders Showing Signs of Life
The fortunes of NFL teams can turn on a dime in this parity-driven NFL. Good teams can hit slumps or patches of injuries. Bad teams can finally "get it" and start clicking.
The following three teams look like teams that may be starting to get it.
No. 23: San Francisco 49ers

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The 49ers are 1-1 and are coming off a hard-fought overtime defeat to the Dallas Cowboys. This is a 49er team that has struggled to move the ball on offense, but there are signs this could turn around.
The 49ers have a young and physical offensive line. Jim Harbaugh has installed an offense that will help him exploit this in the run game. While the results in the ground game haven't been there yet, there are flashes of greatness.
Defensively this team is great against the run. They are equally as suspect against the pass, but when you can stop the run, you have a chance in this league.
No. 29: Cincinnati Bengals
That was really hard for me to type. I had the Bengals pegged for being a complete disaster this season. They have already won as many games (one) as I thought they would all season.
The Bengals defense is much better than I anticipated. And it is allowing their young offense to find their way.
Andy Dalton has been as good as you could hope for a rookie making his first two starts and you have to believe he will get better as the season goes on. Especially as he builds chemistry with A.J. Green.
No. 22: Tennessee Titans
After beating the Ravens, 26-13, the Titans are doing more than showing signs of life. They are showing signs of playoff potential.
Matt Hasselbeck is still a very capable QB. He has brought this offense to life despite Chris Johnson getting off to a horribly slow start following his holdout.
The Titans defense is rock solid. Defensively they are more than competent on all levels of the defense. Frankly, No. 22 is far too low for this team. They are going to surprise more teams than the Ravens if they keep getting overlooked like this.
