Mayweather vs. Ortiz: Now Is the Time for Pretty Boy Floyd to Challenge Pacquiao

Boxing fans waited over a year for Floyd Mayweather Jr. to fight again, but instead of the most anticipated fight in years against Manny Pacquiao, "Pretty Boy" Floyd took on the young up-and-coming Victor Ortiz. 

"Money" Mayweather easily took care of Ortiz, which means only one thing for boxing fans. 

How long until we see Mayweather vs. Pacquiao? 

The wait goes back about three years now, which is much too long for any boxing fan. Everyone knows that both boxers would make a ton of money off a fight that big, but yet, it still hasn't happened. 

Those who continue to wait will soon give up because it doesn't appear this fight will ever happen.

Is Mayweather scared or is he just being stubborn?

If he never fights Pacquiao than everyone will think it's because he is afraid of him. With an undefeated record of 43-0, Mayweather calls himself the greatest, but there's still one guy left to fight before anyone should ever call him that. 

Now is the time for Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, but it's up to "Pretty Boy" Floyd to make it happen. 

Both boxers are in their early-to-mid-30s, which means time is running out for this fight. Let's be honest, nobody wants to see these guys fight in their late 30s. 

Well, actually, fans would watch it because they've been so anxious for it, but it wouldn't be anywhere close to what it could be now or even three years ago.

Nobody knows how much either boxer has left in him, especially Pacquiao who is dwelling in a lot of other areas outside of boxing.

Mayweather looked strong against Ortiz, which only makes matters worse because everyone wants to see him fight Pacquiao.

Fans have long debated as to who would win between Mayweather and Pacquiao, and they deserve the right to finally know the answer. 

It's time to stop talking start fighting, but unfortunately Mayweather continues to dodge what would be the biggest fight of his career.
