Week 3 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 2 Star QBs You Don't Want to Pick Up
Fantasy football fanatics can be a frantic bunch.
Sometimes, even one week of stats can send them into a frenzy.
But real football fans know that practically any starter in the NFL can have a good performance once in a while; it's the ones that consistently perform at a high level that are the most trustworthy.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
In Week 2, three quarterbacks in particular performed at a level we can't expect for the rest of the season.
Here are three quarterbacks who starred in Week 2 that cannot be trusted as legitimate fantasy football starters the rest of the way.
3. Jason Campbell, Oakland Raiders
It's not that Jason Campbell is a bad quarterback. It's just when you talk about him, the reaction you generally get is, "Meh."
He doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence as a game-changing player, and on top of that he is limited in a run-heavy offense led by Darren McFadden.
So when he posts 26 points against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2, throwing for 323 yards and scoring three total touchdowns, color me skeptical.
Don't expect numbers like these from Campbell regularly. He passed for just 2,300 yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions last season.
2. Alex Smith, San Francisco 49ers
Oh, Alex Smith, how San Francisco 49ers fans love thee, ever the tease. Smith has sputtered to life every once in a while since being No. 1 overall by the 49ers in 2005, but it's clear he will never be the star the 49ers dreamed he would be.
I'll say this, the addition of head coach Jim Harbaugh could help him, as he appears to be set up better to succeed, but he's still not a guy that's consistently going to give you 16 fantasy points like he did in Week 2 against the Dallas Cowboys.
I know it's tempting to give a former No. 1 pick a shot, but don't waste your time on Alex Smith. Believe me.
1. Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals appear to be setting Dalton loose already as a rookie QB, which certainly helps yardage numbers, but he's still a rookie QB and the only reason he recorded 21 fantasy points in Week 2 is because he was playing the Denver Broncos.
Against the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, he posted seven fantasy points.
I have nothing against Dalton as a quarterback; there is a chance he could become a good quarterback in the NFL. But he's not set up to succeed with the Bengals right now and you always have to dial down expectations for rookies, especially rookie quarterbacks.
