Dunta Robinson: Falcons CB Deserves Suspension for Latest Cheap Shot vs. Eagles
After Atlanta Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson's second helmet-to-helmet hit in two seasons against the Philadelphia Eagles, yet another Eagles receiver had to leave the game on Sunday.
Running across the middle of the field in the third quarter on Sunday, the Eagles' Jeremy Maclin sustained a vicious hit by Robinson, instantly going down and rolling on the turf.
While some big hits have received unwarranted penalties, this hit by Robinson was done with total disregard. This comes after he did the same thing to DeSean Jackson in 2010, and consequently apologized.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
You would think Robinson would have learned. It's one thing to be physical, it's quite another to go right at someone's head.
I don't think Robinson did it intentionally, at least I hope not. But you would have thought he would have been more careful in the future after his devastating hit on Jackson last season.
This is exactly the kind of thing the NFL is rightfully trying to put a stop to. There is absolutely no reason why you have to hit that high in the game of football. But in a game that rewards big hits, sometimes players don't think and just go for that big hit.
After his second offense, against the same team no less, Robinson should absolutely receive a suspension. If the NFL doesn't respond to this hit, the NFL might as well start being called the NHL, which has drawn its fair share of criticism for ignoring illegal hits.
This is not only a chance for the NFL to send a message to Robinson, it's a chance to send a message to the rest of football: that this type of play has to stop. Once it comes to these types of hits, there can be no tolerance whatsoever.
If the NFL cares about players' safety, it should act swiftly and penalize Robinson for his careless play.
